Aims and Scope

Perioperative Precision Medicine (PPM) is an open-access, peer-reviewed online journal dedicated to the rapid publication (quarterly) of research on medicine during the perioperative period. As the official journal of the Tongji University School of Medicine, and in partnership with the Perioperative Medical Committee, Chinese Medicine Education Association, PPM aims to deepen understanding of perioperative pathogenesis and to advance diagnosis and treatment. The journal facilitates the exchange of innovative research and clinical insights in perioperative precision medicine. Published articles provide insights into the scientific, clinical, educational, and healthcare management aspects of perioperative precision medicine.


PPM welcomes basic, translational, and clinical research related to perioperative medicine, particularly studies that contribute to personalized perioperative management. Relevant research areas include, but are not limited to:


– Perioperative physiology and pathophysiology

– Pharmacology and pharmacogenomics in anesthesia and analgesia

– Immunology and inflammation associated with surgical stress

– Molecular and biomarker-based studies relevant to perioperative outcomes

– Perioperative epidemiology and risk modeling

– Medical imaging and advanced monitoring technologies supporting perioperative decision-making

– Medical devices and digital health applications for perioperative care
